Who we are

We are building a more inclusive future in the water.

WYM is an inclusive swimming brand developing a waterproof swim cap for textured hair. Our products and access initiatives help more people enter the water with confidence.

Swimming should not require choosing between your hair and the water.

For many people with textured hair, swimming comes with additional time, cost, and frustration. Traditional swim caps were not designed around natural hair, braids, twists, locs, or other protective styles.

WYM began with a simple question: what would a swim cap look like if textured hair were considered from the beginning?

Designed around the hair people actually swim with.

We are developing and refining a waterproof swim cap with textured and protective hairstyles in mind. We share meaningful progress while protecting the construction details behind the product.

~90%

Protection in early testing

Early prototypes kept hair approximately 90% dry while helping us identify where the design can improve.

Community conversations

Product decisions are informed by conversations about hair, access, confidence, and real swimming experiences.
